Just coming off of a trip to Israel, we started thinking about pilgrimage cities of the world. While most people take a pilgrimage for religious reasons, pilgrimage cities are interesting to all travelers. Most have layers of history. There is much to see and learn about in all of them.
Food is served on a huge covered porch. After paying for your food at different stalls, you find a picnic table and eat outside, so dress accordingly. In case of rain, there is enough covered space for you to eat without getting wet. It can be fun to share your table (they do get crowded) and swap stories with people about how they found this Thai food festival. People-watching is part of the fun.

Constantly thinking about and judging the wrong done to us is like constantly picking at a scab on a wound. The wound never heals properly, there is increased risk of further complications and the healing takes longer than necessary. Forgiveness lets us heal.
There are many more pilgrimage sites around the world…. there’s no way we could begin to tell you about all of them here. We’re not suggesting that you take a pilgrimage, but these cities certainly could call to you… and why not answer… and visit one of them.
